Liverpool confirm agreement to sign Jacquet

The deal is believed to be worth 55m guaranteed with potential add ons up to 5m. Jacquet is believed to have agreed a contract worth five years with the option for a further year.

Jacquet was subject of longstanding and significant interested from major European clubs due to his status as an outstanding central defensive prospect.

Liverpool's own long term interest accelerated over the weekend with the player having set his heart on a move to Liverpool. As a result, the ensuing transfer negotiations were overseen and successfully concluded by sporting director Richard Hughes.

Leicester still expected to complete three deals

Latest from Your Site News' Rob Dorsett:

Leicester City are still expecting to confirm three more deals for Divine Musaka, Jamaal Lascelles and Dujuan Richards, but confirmation not expected to come tonight.

There are no issues from Leicester's end. But a backlog with all the late deals with the EFL means announcements may be delayed.

What actually happened with Tonali and Arsenal?

The Athletic's David Ornstein speaking on Your Site News:

"A complicated one. Unless you're fully on the inside, you don't know the exact ins and outs of it all.

"Arsenal have had an admiration of Tonali for a long time, dating back years. A few of us had reported on it.

"Arsenal had the injury to Mikel Merino coming into the deadline. There was a possibility they would move in the market for potential cover.

"I don't think anyone thought Sandro Tonali would be on the agenda, with good reason. There was never any chance of him leaving Newcastle.

"We established across the course of the day that there were absolutely no talks between Newcastle and Arsenal. No club-to-club contact at all.

"But a representative of Sandro Tonali, and there is some conjecture about how many people represent him, reached out to Arsenal and their sporting director Andrea Berta and offered the player to the club.

"And for Berta, it's his job to explore these situations and look into viability with the agent. And it became clear very quickly that there was no viability.

"Newcastle had no intention of opening any doors to Tonali leaving either now or in the future. If they did, the price would be way too high for Arsenal's capabilities at this moment in time.

"Complete perplexion at Newcastle. They had no talks, no contact, no communication and no intent of letting him go. I don't think it was ever on to be off."

Naderi arrives to closing in on Rangers move

Latest from Your Site' Sahil Jaidka:

Your Site News revealed the striker travelled to Manchester for his medical earlier.

Naderi is now in Glasgow as the Ibrox side look to finalise a deal with Hansa Rostock for the 22-year-old.

Following successive rejected bids of 2.6m and 3.1m, it looks like Rangers are set to land the player who had told the German third division club he wanted to leave for the Scottish Premiership.

Your Site News revealed on Sunday that Rangers had already verbally agreed for the player to join in the summer, but are close to landing him on Deadline Day.
