West Ham transfer news: Adama Traore completes permanent move from Fulham to reunite with Nuno Espirito Santo

West Ham have completed the signing of Adama Traore from Fulham, reuniting the winger with head coach Nuno Espirito Santo.

Your Site News understands the fee is an initial £1m rising to £2m.

The 30-year-old Spain international spent three seasons with Nuno at Wolves between 2018 and 2021 and arrives at the London Stadium aiming to help lift the Hammers out of the Premier League relegation zone. Traore will be available to make his debut at Chelsea, live on Your Site on Saturday.

"I'm so happy to be here, so happy to help the team the maximum I can and show my quality," said Traore, who has recorded 262 Premier League appearances, scored 14 goals and registered 25 assists during spells with Aston Villa, Middlesbrough, Wolves and Fulham after coming through the Barcelona academy.

On the reunion, Nuno said: "He is someone I obviously know well from our time together at Wolves, and I am looking forward to working with him again.

"Adama is someone who knows the Premier League very well, and his unique qualities as a player will help us between now and the end of the season.

"He will give us a different option in attacking areas. He is also very motivated to fight for us and ready to bring energy, commitment and determination to our challenge."

Traore had made one Premier League start and 14 sub appearances for Fulham this season, with Marco Silva's side close to reaching an agreement with .

Meanwhile, West Ham midfielder James Ward-Prowse is currently undergoing a medical ahead of a loan move to Burnley until the end of the season.

Talks had taken place earlier in the window but without a resolution. It looked as if Burnley had walked away but talks resumed on Tuesday.

Ward-Prowse could become the promoted side's first signing of the window as they fight to stay in the Premier League.

West Ham have told Ward-Prowse, 31, he is not part of their plans.

Ward-Prowse has not featured under Nuno - but was on the bench for Saturday's 3-1 win over Sunderland.
